About Active Physical Therapy

Our Story

Treatment at Active Physical Therapy

Decades of care

Dr. Kevin Jones opened Active Physical Therapy in 2010 in Hilliard, Ohio, with a mission to provide personalized, hands-on, and attentive care to every patient. Over the past 10 years, we’ve expanded our operations to Worthington, Ohio, and Newport, Kentucky. Each client we see receives a customized treatment plan, and the Active Physical Therapy team works hard to remain as accessible and available as possible to accept new patients, see existing patients, and welcome returning patients to our clinics.

About the Team

A Note From the Owner, Dr. Kevin Jones

When I started Active Physical Therapy a decade ago, one thing was clear: we needed to get control back into our patients’ hands.

Active Physical Therapy was designed from the first day we opened our doors to do things differently. We wanted our patients to be actively in control of their experience. This starts with a fast, easy booking process and eliminating the obstacles that block access to care. We wanted to make it clear to our patients that they can book directly with us, receive individualized care, and not overpay for their care.

I’m incredibly proud of what we’re building at Active Physical Therapy. Our team is exceptionally talented. We don’t just dive into treatment based on a guess or what we “typically” see. When you come to Active Physical Therapy, the first thing we do is listen. What is bothering you? When did it start? Does your pain come and go? Without this step, nothing else matters. We listen and we empathize with you: living with pain can be traumatic, and we’re here to help you change your life.

As a remote clinician, I am not tied to a physical location. I love working with clients in their homes and meeting companies at work to help them prevent injuries or recover from workplace accidents. No matter where we meet, or how long we work together, it’s my deepest honor to help you achieve your physical goals through Active Physical Therapy.

Kevin Jones

Kevin Jones

Owner, Physical Therapist

About Kevin
Dr. Jones is owner and founding partner at Active PT. When someone comes in with pain that limits their performance or overall lifestyle, he helps guide them through recovery using movement and education. He believes in the power of the human body and its ability to heal. Following the first few years in practice, he was not satisfied with the current medical approach to treating pain. Following a deep dive into research and several conferences later, his primary treatment focus has been helping patients move beyond persistent pain.

Dr. Jones is a board certified clinical specialist in orthopedics and certified strength and conditioning specialist.

In his free-time, Dr. Jones enjoys spending time with his wife and chasing around his two sons and daughter.

Kat thrives on celebrating the success of Active PT’s patients and being an advocate for them in every step of the process. From the first phone call to wrestling with insurance companies if need be, Kat is passionate about doing the heavy lifting so that the patient doesn’t have to.

Client Feedback

Active Physical Therapy Testimonials

I have been a two-time client at Active PT and both experiences were extraordinary. Every member of the staff and the therapists are high-caliber professionals giving laser-focused, client-centered care. I have the highest regard for the treatment I received that made my return to work possible. I would encourage anyone in need of PT to feel confident that the program they require will be tailored to their needs and executed with precision.

Don L.

This place is great. They did not keep having me return for unnecessary treatments just to get more money. They are honest and friendly. They’re extremely knowledgeable and capable of treating your ailments. I was being scene for pain of my sciatica nerve in my left leg. I had dry needling performed and it was the best thing for me. This was in 2017 if I remember correctly and I’ve not had the problem return.

Crystal S.

Kevin was awesome!! He was very knowledgeable, personable and exceedingly competent. The PT was cutting edge even though I went for a workers comp evaluation. I received great customer service and care at this PT practice. I would recommend this PT location to anyone in need of PT services.
